If I'm able to do Friday, it'd be Friday night, driving over after work. The good news is that the park is open(to divers) 24/7...?![]()
Jim, our line running focused primarily on the mechanics of handling the reel, keeping slack out of the line, and staying out of our own line. The tie-offs were indicated to us by the instructor, so we never had to choose them. The only discussion of line strategy was to run under other people's lines. Of course, keeping the line out of the middle of the passage is kind of common sense, but we didn't really talk about it.Too bad. perhaps you were told you passed with flying colors, but if you cannot run a reel properly, the flying colors part is questionable.
There is a reason I am retaking an entry level cave class in April.
Not sure this warrants taking another intro class. Line placements are really just common sense, keep it out of the way even if that means taking a little extra time. Just make sure you can follow it out in the worst of circumstances. I am sure that most of the instructors would be glad to help you with that, i.e. skill refresher instead of taking the whole class over.

I'm actually doing some "coaching" time during our trip at the end of the month.
I'm retaking the class because I don't know where the other holes are.

This seems like another good reason to take Cave trainning in Fl. and not in MX. You have High and low flow systems to learn in. The High flow will definitely show you if you have any holes in your trainning.
