Steve,
Thank you.
Yes, it was one year ago when we all learned of the tragic news.
We will be watching the Super Bowl just like we always do but we will hoist our glasses to Joe I'm sure at some point to remember our friend.
Joe loved coming down to Luraville to cave dive and we spent many an evening watching football, drinking Heineken's talking about that day's dives.
Here's to you buddy...
It's bad luck to be superstitious.
I did not know Joe but I have acquired some of his equipment. If he is watching, I invite him to ride along with me on any dive he wants.
I know how you feel, Vince. I own Chris and Chrissy Rouse's Teknas. Although I never met them, I feel like they're along with me, enjoying the ride.
Whoever said money can't buy love never bought a puppy.
Just a reminder for the day today. February 4, 2007 we lost a great friend... RIP Joe.

Yep, Joe was a great guy and definitely unforgettable! I just did one dive with him, but it was at Diepolder 3 which made it very memorable. RIP bud, see you on the other side of the restriction.....
Safe diving,
Rich
Dove with Joe once at Peacock and shared a room and breakfast on another occasion but didn't dive together. Joe was a guy you spent a few hours with and felt like you knew him for a long time. He grew on you very quickly and had a gift for making friends easily. I remember him raggin on my ill-fitting drysuit...."you'll have to get drysuit that fits you one day"
I got a dry suit that fits, Joe! Still trying to fix my trim![]()
Joe is one of the friendliest and kindest person, you would ever want to meet. David enjoy diving with him every time he got a chance when Joe came down to cave country. We have warm memories of a great friend and will never forget. God Bless his family.
