Date for Little River to Become State Park

This might be common knowledge but I thought I would post it here.
I was at Ichetucknee Springs State Park today paying for a new annual state park pass and I asked one of the rangers at the office about an update with Little River becoming a state park.
If I understood her correctly, she said that early 2010 would be when it would actually happen.
I then drove on to do a solo dive at Little River wondering if I'll get a ticket in a couple of years for diving solo there then....

My understanding was it would be in 6 months. They have plans for cabins,horse trails etc.

Your info might well be correct. However, this is what an ISSP ranger told me ealier today and I thought I would pass it on.

Little River has been assigned to ISSP to manage until the infrastructure is in place for it to be a stand alone park. 2010 may be when Little River is State Park in its own right but state management is coming in the very near future.

I never really thought about it before. Is this what happens? How much is the ticket? What is the offense? Just curious?

I guess I just thought they might kick you out of the park and ban you from diving there.

Does anyone know if scooters will be allowed?
