The guys at http://www.batterystore.com/default.asp make Helios 9 packs for $150, you might want to ask them for a new one.. would obviously be way cheaper than a Halcyon battery.

Thanks for the lead, I called Jeremy and he didn't know anything about it. I know 2 rows of 6 "c" cells will fit in that can, but all they had added up to 3.6 ah, which is less than the original lead-acid battery packs that came with it.

This is what I have (x2)

Do you know any specs or have you had them build you one? An order number would be helpful.

    TIA,

If you're a DIY kinda guy you should be able to put two sets of http://www.batteryspace.com/index.as...ROD&ProdID=217 in there in parralel to get 9ah. AFAIK, the Helios 13.5 pack is 3 sets of 10 4/3A 4500mah batteries wired up in parallel.

hwdsndf@anet.com This guy makes a nice 9ah can and sells Helios 9 batteries shipped for $150. See http://thedecostop.com/forums/showpo...4&postcount=45

He might be able to hook you up, too.

Batteryspace doesn't have them, but I see TNR has those 4/3 4500 packs.
Looks like they're building one for me!

I tried emailing TNR to get a quote on a 9 amp pack but never heard back from them. What sort of price did they make on the 4500?

    Default Batt prices

The 4500 4/3 A's are $5/ea. They quoted the Helios 12 at $269, built in California

I saw the battery prices, but was curious as to what they would charge to build the pack, add the shrink wrap and connectors, plus shipping. Maybe I'll try calling them.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for the help, I had a great deal forwarded to me for a 9500 mah battery for less than $100 that I just burn tested at over 4 hours on an 18w HID! This doubles the previous 8000mah pack I had built myself for more than $100 that gets only 2.

    Thanks again guys.
