    Default thanks all around

sounds like all or most of the thank you's have gone full round, but there many who made the talks, and the dives, much more enjoyable who have not been mentioned. I can not mention them all, cause I simply do not remember their names won't even try. Still I hope my smiles and nods at the time will now become thank yous on the forum.

we had a great time and a whole lot of it was due to nameless divers who were there to listen, learn, help out, and talk about cave diving practices, techniques, equipment, approaches, and the basics of cave life, hydrogeology and comparative analysis of florida and missouri springs (thanks to jo for a great talk), and newly discovered, explored, surveyed, and charted caves in the Ozarks.

It is always enlightening and heartening to see so much activity in the southern midwest. many organizations claim national status, but few actually include the nation. Local Mini-Conferences are the ideal way to acknowledge local cave diving and to extend a national organization to the nation.

Next year I'd llike to see more Tennessee divers on the talk list, maybe two days of talks instead of one, more Texas divers too, and more on the life/biology of cave environments. And some divers from Florida would be nice to invite...jablonski? irvin? rhea? any gue instructor? let's see what they have to say too. Maybe some talks on training? And some on Dive planning (although gene melton's talks on CO2 was eye-opening, cutting edge, forgotten gas) would be nice too.

well, what I mean is thanks to all, had a great time and special thanks to Mike (unkown last name, smart car owner) for his unexpected, but always on-target presence, during our deep dive.

Thank you Skip for comming. I was just thinking the same thing. Make it 2 days. I was thinking in some about training, keping up the skills since we seem to have a new trend of accidents. Maybe a few rooms to have some breatk out sections so that we can all sit at teh round table and talk about info and share it with each other.

Hmm guess Ed will be busy getting it all set 12 months can go fast and yet not be fast enough.

I like the idea of breakout sessions. I would like to see more offered for the non-cave or cavern divers, too. I dont know how many people I tried to invite, but they looked at the agenda, and it was all way over where they was at at their diving career. I also passed this along to Ed, but I would like to see more on accident analysis. There is always a lesson to be learned from accidents and incidents.

What a great workshop, great dives, wonderful weekend!
Ed, Ernie, Mitch, Heidi you did a great job organizing and hosting this event, thank you so much. I’m already looking forward to the next year meeting.
All the talks were very informative, I’ve learned quite a bit, so big thank you to the speakers for taking time to put the presentations together.
Sharon thank you for the relaxing barbeque evening.
Everybody I met – thank you for the comradery, sharing your dive stories, equipment tips, information about MO, AR and TN caves, and insights into underwater art.
