    Default Turtle Spring

Going on a "dry dive" on Wednesday and want to checkout some dive sites with the Suwannee low water levels. I know where Ruth is, but anyone dive Turtle Spring? PM me with some geographical hints as to where to find it. Ken

Please PM him with this info.

From the Home page/rules & recommendations:

For safety reasons, please don't give specific directions to caves. Email these to associates that you KNOW are cave qualified.

I Know I have seen someone give directions to Ginnie, Little River, Telford, Peacock, Cow, Manatee, and many others on this site... what is wrong with giving them up for Turtle?

    BTW:

    It's number 25 on here...

It's public information.... not some top secret personal hole in the floor of some hunting camp...

I am pretty sure Turtle is closed. You might be able to get to it by canoe, but no road access.

Well, I found it. Lafeyette County has renamed most of the roads getting there so Mapquest and Google are worthless. I found the property on the Lafeyette Co. tax appraisers role as private. Access road is also private.

Once the river levels come back up we should talk...I have the perfect sidemount river cave boat, 16ft, fairly wide beam Jon boat, 25hp Merc.

I'll try some photos...ignore the "for sale" sign. These were photos I took when I was considering purchasing it.

Two divers, plenty of room. I haven't tried three, might be a little cramped but I think it's doable.

The Aluminum diamond plate tool box is a nice feature. It's bolted down so I can lock up my wallet, GPS, cell phone, Glock

It's bad luck to be superstitious.
