    Default PSSP CSO meeting

I was informed there will be a CSO meeting this Saturday December 8th at the Orange Grove pavilion at noon. We will soon be a CSO instead of a committee under ISSP, Troy Springs will then be under PSSP. We will be holding an election in the near future to elect a board of directors to head the CSO; if you are interested in becoming an officer please plan to attend the meeting this Saturday.
    Thank You,
    Janet

What is the duty and responsibility of a director on this board?

The duties are variable based on the position. The 5 officer positions are chair,vice-chair,secretary,treasurer,and director at large. Since the Peacock Springs CSO committee is completing the incorporation process it will become the North Florida Springs Alliance which will include Peacock and Troy. The responsibilites will by typical of most CSOs which is to support the park, but there are specific items pertaining to this CSO which I don't have handy, but would be happy to bring the documentation to the meeting. Also, the bylaws have been approved which will define the responsibilites of each officer. The biggest hurdle left is completing IRS form 1023 for 501c3 status. Hope to see you there Saturday.

Joe or anyone else who is interested I have some books explaining CSO's in FL state parks
which you can borrow to read if you would like. We REALLY need people from Florida especially those who live fairly close to PSSP-anyone within a 6 hour drive (ha ha) of the park.
    Thank you for your interest.

The meeting was good, according to the park manager we will be holding elections around May, we REALLY need some new people to become officers for the CSO, especially
one who live fairly close to the park (as I said within a 6 hour drive).
    Thanks,
    Janet

Shirley you're not serious? No, I'm not, but do stop calling me Shirley.

Is there anyway for me to see the bylaws and the list of responsibilities/goals for the BOD of the CSO?

    Thanks.
