Default Madison Blue "The Pressure Gauge"

Last Friday morning me and my two buddies eeled our way through the Rocky Horror tunnel and into the Courtyards at Madison Blue. Just before the "pressure gauge" there was a cookie with the number 3,000 written on it.
Do any of you know if this is this actually the 3,000 foot mark because the map seems to show the SPG as not being quite that far in.
We went a little bit past the pressure gauge and then turned the dive. Total run time about 2 1/2 hours.
I'm just curious as to how far we really made it but I also must say that the Courtyards area pretty spectacular part of this cave system.
    What a great dive!!

    Thanks

I'm at the office at the moment, but does the map show penetration from Martz or from the horseshoe room?

I don't own a map of Madison yet and I don't know where the alleged distance measurement began. We planned the dive using the map posted in the park kiosk and started the dive at the main entrance. I would suppose it would have been be measured from the main entrance.......OR.... Maybe 3,000 is actually indicative of the person who placed that cookie being the three thousandth visiter to the pressure gauge.

The map I have shows the pressure gauge as being at approx 2595 ft from the entrance.... the 3000 ft marker should be around the Karen's Squeeze area of the Courtyard.

That's what I figured but there is definately a cookie just before the pressure gauge that say's 3000 on it so It's anybodies guess as to what it means. When in doubt....trust the map. Not a movable, non-directional marker. Oh well. Another prop to occupy my mind. Time for dinner.

It's probably 3000 feet from there back to the horseshoe via the crossunder tunnel.....
