    Default Cavern Training

Does anyone have any suggestions on where I should get cavern certified in the area of Panama City Beach? Any help would be appreciated.

The closest places to train will be Jackson Blue in Marianna, Morrison Springs, and Vortex Springs. Find a cavern instructor in the area and then find out where the training is held. Are you wanting to move on beyond cavern or just get cavern trained?

I would suggest Jackson Blue since there are several caverns on Merritts Mill Pond that could be used for check out dives. If I remember correctly, the checkout dives need to be conducted at more than one cavern.

    Safe diving,

At least 2 caverns, but I'm not so sure the other "caverns" on the Mill Pond would meet standards or provide much of a cavern dive. Morrison and JB give a decent variety, though.

I want to thank everybody for their help. I definitely want to go farther than cavern, I just want to make the first step. I've went in the cavern at Morrison last weekend and now I'm completely hooked. I just want to make sure I know how to be safe in the overhead environment.

I took cavern from Johnny and would recommend him to others.

I recommend Johnny, as well, except he's not in the Panama City area.
