    Default Morrison Springs

Recently I drove over to Morrison Springs to do a dive after visiting family. The site was beautiful. The water was crystal clear and calm. It was a perfect dive. The question that I have is where did all the structures go? Every building and even the pavilion has been removed. The only items left standing is the retaining wall and benches, four port o johns, and the gate.
I just wanted to know if they were going to make replacements or if they were just clearing things out?

They are supposedly going to be rebuilding bathrooms and showers as well as adding some classrooms. New benches and another pavillion are supposed to be added. They will close off the beach area and keep parking behind the old pavillion area. A boardwalk is supposed to be built around part of the basin.

They are also going to improve the boat launch down the run to make it the primary launch. The basin will still be used as a launch in times of low water apparently.

This is all 2nd hand info I've been given from a couple people who were present at some of the meetings onsite with county officials and contractors discussing the plans. I can't personally verify any of it.

I've heard all the same stuff except for the classroom stuff. Of course from what I have heard there isn't a real positive locked in time frame.

It would be great if there were improvements. I really like it because it seems to be out in the middle of nowhere and it was the first place I got sucked into the cave world.
