    Default Cow defaced

We got a guy doing a reconnaissance mission in cow right now with a camera. He was diving last night [11-6-07] and saw someone wrote in the clay banks.

    Pictures to follow.

Keep your ears open folks, we need to find out who did this.

It's bad luck to be superstitious.

WTF. You mean he actually saw someone writing in clay OR he just saw the writing that someone left ?

Do you know where ? I meant is on "the" large clay bank. The one that's the most recognized in Cow.

I dove Cow on the Oct 31, Nov 1, and Nov 2. I didn't notice any defacing had taken place. WTF???

Cow is my favorite cave, and I will be greatly pissed if the banks are even more messed up than they already are

Cow is my favorite cave too, if they did write in it hopefully they were dumb enough to write their names.

THIS has got to be trackable. Unless someone jumped the fence, Cathy must have a signed waiver sheet from them. Assuming it's in the last 30 days or so, the list just can't be that long.

    Default Writing in the clay

We just returned from the dive and found even more than was seen before. We will see how pics and video turn out.

    Sad, Really sad.

If they are caught can legal action be taken? Since it is illegal to deface caves?

I personally would like to see jail time and certs pulled for this, screw fines.

People have been cutting the chain.

    I like this idea.

If we can put a list together of who was there legally, maybe the divers can compare notes... if you were there and there was another diver who you saw that wasn't signed in there are questions about who they are and what they were doing that that could help this.
(There was another post suggesting that the culprit had used a bolt cutter - how valid is this assumption?)

Anybody show up for a dive at Cow when someone was there and the chain was cut?
