I've searched their website and can't find anything related to the incident. Any details that would be relevant for the search? (keywords: "scuba instructor cave" came up with nada).

Is that a real web site? It sounds way too much like a parody - an attorney working on a case involving teen girls at a slumber party, having his license suspended, his law office burning down...

Major, that's pronounced, "Deet De Deeee."

I dont know if it is a bust or not. I looked for the company that the instructor worked for, and they didnt have anything posted about his death. However, look at the areas they offer guided tours of. Is the cave he passed away in Boundary Cavern?? I think the NACD, NSS-CDS and PADI would have a cow if they read the description of the dive..."THIS IS AN ADVANCED DIVE. Because of the small entranceway into the cavern there is no natural light that penetrates, however the use of a dive light illuminates all the fantastic rock formations and marine life that thrives in this protected environment."

    Pretty sad.

Get's disbarred, his law office burns down and officials determine it is arson, then this. Not very many wise choices lately.

I think they're hinting that it might have been suicide. Screws his client, burns dwn his office, gets caught doing both - and decides to end it in a cave. Probably not the first or last death to come about that way.

If it was suicide, why bring the students along?

Default Did any on CDF know this man?

When I first saw this on TDS it stated the man was an instructor. I was wondering if he had cave experience (as in training). Then the article posted here stated he wasn't a cave trained diver, so with that question answered I was wondering if anyone here knew this man well enough to state if he was reckless or a good OW diver? Secondly, has anyone here dove the site he died in? What are the conditions there? Just curious not condemning.
