Ok, I was wrong. I thought they may be used for high flow caves as a tool to jam into the floor to help get in. See, there are no dumb questions...thanks everyone

Ok, I found them online. They would work, but are bigger than necessary, and more expensive than short lengths of 1/2" PVC pipe.Originally Posted by J.D. Mislak

Hahaha Well it would be useful in the Sand Dunes at Ginnie.Originally Posted by everdeeper43015
The floor would be such a mess though.

If you are reffering to the Cooper river, it is actually called a "Big Ass Screwdriver"Originally Posted by Webmaster

It does not say what diameter they are, but if they fit most surf rod handles I would expect around 1.5". Why pay $8-10 for one, when you can buy probably 3-4 10' lengths of 0.5" PVC tube and get 4 30" spikes out of each? Plus, with the PVC tubing you can adjust your length as needed.Originally Posted by FW

I dont know. Just giving suggestions. Never used silt screw before.Originally Posted by DeWayne
That is pretty much what they look like, except for the rolled top flange. Those would work, but they are serious overkill for what they would be used for.
