This graphic of Blue Spg is upsetting to me. I draw back to the limestone mining operations just outside of Branford off of Hwy 27, which has been an eyesore for years and has long been a needle in our sides with regards to our favorite springs. At this time I am wondering if Blue Spgs will recover it's pristene conditions as winter weather & Manatees return once again-? Florida was France's chosen territory, & it is no wonder why-!
So what is the answer for saving our life supporting waters-?

How about the 46 acre mining operation at Hwy 129 and 246th Street that's only a little over 1 mile from Little River?
Little River appears to be unaffected at this time but who knows?
It is upsetting but I'm not sure there's anything that can be done to stop the mining or just about any other established industry for that matter.
I have a lot of fond memories of Blue Spring when I was just a wee lad with a Kmart mask and snorkle wondering where those scuba divers were going and what they were seeing down in that hole in the Earth past the logs.
I hope it gets pretty again soon.
