So... I've never been to one of these and I've never been to Jackson Blue either. Will we be able to get a dive or two in? Anyone available to buddy up?

The normal procedure for diving J.B. is to get on file at the Jackson Co. Sheriff's office and pay a daily or annual permit fee. I don't know exactly what the deal will be for diving on Saturday. I have an annual pass so it's not a problem. There should be plenty of folks there to buddy up with.
J.B. is a shining star of north Florida.
See you there!

There will be no fee for diving on Saturday. Just come directly to the park versus going to the Sheriff's officeOriginally Posted by Kenny P
I talked to Gregg from Wakulla Dive Center today about the rebreather experience.
He will bring 2 megs, sport Kiss, classic Kiss,Inspiration and an Optima for the dives
His goal is to do one in the AM and PM
Come early and sign up

I think I can make this one also.Do they allow cavern divers or do I leave the daughter at home.
Bring your daughter along. It is a family affair. Don't have to check in at the Sheriff's office so no big deal.Originally Posted by stairman

One thing always happens when I go to these things: people that I don't know talk to me, and then later on the internet tell me it was them. I have my picture on my avatar, so they know it's me. So let's make it a point to identify ourselves not just by name, but also by screen name, when we meet at the socials. (When I found out who OFG-1 was, I realized I had met him several times before.)
Also, this weekend is a double-duty trip to Florida - cave diving and kitesurfing, so my mother will probably be with me (she wants to meet some more of those crazy cave divers), so that means I'll probably have the Ginnie puppy along. Although dogs aren't allowed when the park is open, I've seen them there during the off-season so many times that I don't think there will be a problem. (She'll be on a leash at all times.) But if there's any problem at all, I'll just take her up to Edd's and tie her up in the yard - Stacy offered to dogsit.![]()
