Dove croaker hole on sunday.In little lake george.N29deg26.359W081deg41.367 .Try to get your anchor in the hole itself.Terrible vis until you reach the colder bottom at 30 ft.There is a line tied in.You can pull yourself in the cavern easily.Its about 100ft. back with a max depth of 51 ft.Lots of shrimp and blue crabs.Saw no stripers though.there is a halocline which distorts the vis somewhat.Two manatees surfaced continuously before and after the dives,bit didnt see them in the spring.Cavern has no surface light at all.

You will not see them if you desend with a light on. They hide in the brown water. If you settle on the bottom after you explore the cavern and turn off the lights they will slowly come nto clear water. We picked up about 100 beer bottles when we dove it last year and since we were in the open water there was plenty of light that is when they showed up.

Getting there is half the fun! That halocline is because the one side of the cave is venting salt water and the other side fresh water. Did you see any eels? We've seen them up over the top ledge of the cave in as far as you can go. Hope you picked up a few beer bottles on the way out. That river water is really, really, black isn't it?
