not a scooter but ebay has pulled a few auctions after I already won the auction and paid.

For me the 2 times it happened I received my item.
for my mother the 1 time it happened she didnt get the item.

ebay claims to offer protection and they bought out paypal and claim the same protection but their magical protection is gone when they yank the auction. ebay is just as bad as the scammers they know the auction is a fraud but they wait til its over a few day cancel the auction after you paid and collect their 8 percent for a paypal transaction.

when I emailed asking for my protection they offer they refuse to honor it due to the fact that they closed the auction after it was over.

Well, eBay has yet to get back to me, but the seller called, and is irate that I thought he was a scammer. He said he works for a legitimate dive shop in NJ, and is "madder than a wet hen" that I messed up his auction.

I will probably never deal with eBay again. It was once a good thing, but unless they aggressively go after scammers, fairly soon nobody will trust them.

    Default how Much

Well so when is the scooter going up for sale and how much do you want? Did you introduce him to CDF and Thedecostop and tell him that Ebay is a really bad place to sell a SS scooter and he might get a better response fron Tech sites. His fault for not knowing the problem with ebay and scooters/rebreathers.

Look on the bright side. You got good deals on both the scooter and breather. Enjoy your new toys. - Kirk

He *thinks* that if I hadn't bid the "buy it now" price 10 minutes before the auction closed, that he could have gotten his reserve price

Last I checked it is a contract, whether you use buy it now or a regular bid, so HE is bound by it (and you as well...). If he did not read the fine print he's the fool (or tool?).
So, when are you posting the scooter for sale?
