    Default F/S Primary reel

I have three side handle reels for sale. Two of them are brand new and one is the prototype. The prototype is a little bit different in feel, but the overall design is very similar. These are made by me, in my shop. I'm asking $199ea for the two new ones and $165 for the prototype, plus shipping and 1.5% if using paypal. Shipping from 29073.

The new reels have approximately 400ft of #24 line, the prototype has approximately 300ft of #36. All come with SS double enders.

So, what are you getting for you hard earned $$$?

Some advantages of this reel over others:
-New design of bolt snap attachment makes lost reels due to poor design a thing of the past.
-All aluminum is machined from 6061 aluminum.
-All aluminum is anodized, dyed and sealed for excellent corrosion resistance.
-All screws and bolts are stainless steel and thread locker used were appropriate.
-Close tolerance parts make it extremely difficult to jam with good reel handling techniques.
    -spool machined from solid delrin.

If your reel gets battered and beaten from years of hard use, don’t through it away. Send it back to me and I can strip it, re-anodize, dye and seal it. In all but the most extreme cases, it will be as good as new for a fraction of the price.

What type of washers do you use between the body and the spool? Also, can you describe the locking procedure. I see a washer against the spool edge...is that right?

No washer between the spool and body. The lock down screw pushes the washer against the spool. Don't worry, it locks down sufficently. I've tested this design and it works well. A bolt pushing directly on the edge of the spool would evently damage it, the washer will not.
