Default WTD Sidemount Gear Irish CaveDiver

Just wondering if anyone has some sidemount gear they would like to part with. I have purchased a transpac 2 and am looking to do sidemount in Irish caves as they are small and tight no room for doubles.

Have you looked at the Nomad?

If I understand it right, the Transpac 2 can be upgraded to a Nomad.

All he needs is the bungees, butt plate, and the wing. The main improvement in the Nomad was the redesign of the wing, and I think it is definitely worth using even if he goes a different route on the other two components.

    Default sidemount

Thanks all for the help i saw on cave excursions site. Bill make a plate for side mounting. Can anyone give me advice on what exactly i need. I have a tried using the transpac with a travel wing. I put on D, rings and clips on the side or the harness and a bungee at the chest D-ring but getting this on and off is hard. It rides well in water thogh, it is not the correct setup. Can yea tell me waht i need to do to upgrade at cost effective price.

The solid plate is ok in big passage, but gets hung up in tight areas. The soft plate like on the Nomad is better for tight places, like in the UK

I'll be in Northern Ireland in a few weeks, to work for a while. I'll have to bring my sidemount rig!

I thought all you needed in Irish caves was a bottle of John Jameson under each arm.
