Hey, does anyone use crayons to write on arrows, cookies, or slates underwater? I know pencils work just fine, but i was wondering about crayons too? I would have tried, but i dont have any crayons at the moment. Any thoughts?

Grease pencils for marking canned goods works pretty good.

Several years ago I mentioned to the Bears that, as a kid, I always wanted a Crayola 64 box, with the built-in sharpener. The following Christmas, guess what they gave me?Originally Posted by akcaver
So maybe I'll bring the box down to JB and we can give it a try.
In the day before they were all made oversea I had a similar request for writing on laminated fish charts. The problem with wax crayons is wax repells water so most crayons won't work under water with a slate. China markers do work but are wrapped in paper, which soaks and falls off. I did come up with a solution with an industrial marking crayon but since the company is out of business its a moot point. I'd stick with the pencil.
