    Default incident at peacock

The local FD was probably dispatched automaticaly when it recieved the inital call as "person down" or whatever. Im a fire fighter and we get sent, along with EMS, to all reports of chest pains, trauma, person down, difficulity breathing, wrecks, etc, etc, %80 of time the FD is not needed, but it pumps the call volume up so it looks like the FD is busy and can justify more funds. joe b

Well said Joe, I believe the firetruck was just part of the emergency response team, for whom we park employees are totally grateful for their response any time we need them. This helicopter was landed in one of farmer Johnson's fields located about 1.5 miles from the park, but they have already shut traffic down on route 51 in front of the ag station to load a patient coming from PSSP. I thank anyone who responds to any emergency call anywhere for any reason.

I was at Little River when a diver collapsed there a year or two ago. I called the chamber and from time of the diver leaving the water to the time he entered the chamber was less than 90min. Pretty dang good. Far better than driving someone yourself to the ER and hoping you don't hit traffic or the diver dies on you. Cindy
