    It's unlikely that the ballast is toasted. You can test the light while it's still in pieces - just plug the bulb into the old ballast, and switch on for about 3 minutes. If it works, you'be golden!

    Still it's good to have the other ballast as a backup. If you ever flood your light you'll need one

    Default HID lamps

    Any cheap source for 21W Brightstar HID lamps? For a DR light, if it makes a difference.
