Default Heavy rains and the springs this weekend

The Peacock / Ginnie area got a lot of rain this week and will get more this weekend.

What's the projection for cave conditions?

It looks like the river has come up a little but it is so low right now I can't see it being too affected. There will probalby be some fogginess from runoff into sinks.

Little River was fine this morning (Tuesday 26th).
Around Peacock we had around 2.5-3 inches of Rain Christmas Day. It would be nice actually if the water level climbed a bit. It getting to be a little bit of a hassle getting in and out of some of these here "Cave" places.
I agree with Curtschu , the river levels are down so much , we need the rain.
And the long-time residents around here remind a rookie like myself that the rain that affects the Suwannee most of all is the stuff that falls up near the Okee swamp , not the rain we get around this area.

Well the rain has been doing good hear in Valdosta and should help the springs and rivers there soon. Sat was about 3 inches of rain and Last night we got another 2 inches so I hope this helps feed the springs and rivers there for you guys and Gals. I hope to get to come do some diving soon. I miss you all.

ginnie was fine on the 26th. no tree dammage and the river is still quite low

Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorius triumphs, even though checkered by failure... than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat

I still cannot believe how clear it was and it was great to have next to no flow - it had been a while since I was there and it is great being able to leisurely swim through the cavern and the area before the chimney.

Can't wait to get back in there...hope they get my darned light fixed soon...
