    Default Cow/ Troy Springs Conditions?

We're going to be down the next week, hoping to get to Cow and or Orange again. What are the conditions in the two? Someone had a conditions report for Cow, but it's dated 10/20. And I heard rumors Troy is closed and/or closing to diving period. Any truth to that?

Are the waters receded enough to make it to the parking lot then? Will we need a gps to locate the spring?

    And is it "officially" open?

    Default Cow/ Troy Springs Conditions?

Alan Owens posted some pictures of Cow Springs in the new Photo Gallery on Thursday, November 18th, 2004. They show the water level and it looks like it’s almost back to normal.

Kick@$$ pictures!!! I will be dreaming about Cow for the 23 hours we have of our drive down tommorrow night!

    Thanks again.

PS any new info on Telford conditions anyone? Also thinking about Edwards, how did this water level compare on the pole at the bridge? Last time in May flow was FIERCE, wondering if it's even do-able at this point?

    Default Edwards / Telford

A 23 hour drive Drive safe and have fun diving. I thought a 4 hour drive to Cow and PSSP was a long time.

The last report I got on Edwards was that it was tannic, but that report was from several weeks ago. Also, the last dive I did in Edwards had a strong flow.

You can find the latest Telford report, posted by Mike McAuliffe on Tuesday November 16, 2004, at the following link:

    Default Cow Springs Update

Just did upstream in Cow this morning 11/25 and had a nice dive. Vis was 30 feet or better in the basin, and about the same in the cave. Flow was down a little bit in my opinion, but I've only got a few dives in that cave.

The cave, like just about everywhere else right now, has a lot of dark grey to black mung covering everything (including the very cool clay banks) making it look darker than usual, even back to 1600' penetration.

Anyone know how long it might take to get back to normal?
