I just got a new reg set and realized that my current long hose will not work.
If anyone's got an extra they'd like to part with, let me know

You can just get a 1/2" to 3/8" adapter for the port, thats what I did with my apex atx100 two years ago and havent had a problem since. (theyre really cheap too, like 7.65 on drexpress or your lds!)
...or you can plug the 1/2 hole and use one of the 3/8 holes if there are enough.
I might plug it.. any advantage to the 1/2" port?
One big plus of using a 3/8 hose (by either plugging the 1/2 hole or using an adapter) is that it is very easy to find a replacement in the field.
I bought a Halcyon 7' hose with the 1/2" fitting not realizing it. Never used it because it doesn't fit my regs.
How about $35 shipped.
None whatsoever. One of Apeks' dumbest ideas. I'm glad they fixed it with the new XTX series.Originally Posted by ufgipper
It's actually a good idea to t both the converter AND a plug so that in the future you can go either way in an emergency - for example having both lets you be picky about whether you angle the first stage in or out on your doubles. I carry one of each in my backup kit.

Apeks? there are no 1/2" ports on my DST's or DS4'sOriginally Posted by aainslie
If that’s one of those regs that has a DFC ½” port your going to have a problem if you plug the ½” port and move to one of the 3/8” ports
I dumped all my reg’s that had DFC (Dynamic Flow Control)
DST's have one 1/2" port and the rest are 3/8". I doubt they made a different version so I suppose your port is plugged and you didn't notice. DS4's don't have the 1/2" port.Originally Posted by billyf
IT's also on the FSR first stages - they come with the ATX 200's, and have been modified on the XTX 200's to have all 3/8" holes. On the older ones, setting up your regs the way you wanted involved endless juggling with plugs, different size hoses etc. A serious PITA.
