I know what a potato masher is, but what is an egg beater?

It is the attachment point for the carabiner, as per my Side Mount Instructor Anyway, potato masher sounds great too.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one that read "egg beaters" and thought to myself "huh???"

A potato masher is a big, huge strobe unit for a topside camera. It will usually have a tray built in to set the camera body in, it's that big.
