    Default Where in Telford

Where is the place in Telford where the T is and a lot of stuff hanging off the one? There quite a few markers on the line at this point. Where these markers left from the Telford side or from the other opening> Also a couple of hundred feet up there is a White marker with Liz. Is this Dave?

It is fresh one, and it says LIZDAS, and it is quite further in from the T with a dead rat and a superman (?). I'm wondering if that branch is leading to Luravile sink or the left one does? We had a lots of fun and swimming through the canyon maybe 300' after Dave's marker. Viz was great. Two days ago. I called the dive because i used a thirds of my diapers.

What! I drop one lousy glory marker and the whole internet knows in five days. Guess it wasn't back far enough at all.

I believe the strait/right fork at the rat goes towards Lauraville sink.

The black rat (left there by Danger Will), GI Joe and frog (I found Joe in the basin more than a year ago and gave him a lift)are at the T where if you take the right you go towards the Aardvark Room and the mines of Moria (not sure about the name, asked Bill Rennaker and that is what he told us, he did quite a bit of diving there a while back).

Dave L, there is a frog even further than your arrow....<G> it's been there more than a year....<G>

Out of all the wierd names in Telford what part of the cave is where it starts to get low with grey fluffy silt on the floor? About how far penetration is that. I believe its acouple hundred feet past spooky face rock. Sounds like a vague description but its pretty predominate if you know what i'm talking about.

Ha, never heard it called spooky face rock aka skull face is in an area named beulahland, this gives way to the Expressway after the low area you describe, you can tell it's the Expressway because it opens up pretty big and there is a relatively sharp left turn (90 degrees), I am guessing approx 2000 feet from Telford sink. Depth there is about 60 feet and the viz dramatically improves as there is very little silt and/or particulate in the water.

    *** OFF TOPIC ***

    Celia,

So I read this today and realized it didn't really sound like Franklin's style of writing so I did some research.

The above motto is the correct version of the phrase commonly attributed (as it has never been proven) to Benjamin Franklin. The above is from the title page of An Historical Review of the Constitution and Government of Pensylvania, a book published anonymously in 1759. The quoted text appears on page 289 in a letter to the Governor from the Assembly dated Nov. 11, 1755, petitioning to raise funds to arm the Susquehanna Indians, to keep them as allies against the French, who had armed the Delaware and Shawanese.

Just thought you might like to know.

    Wlater,

    Excellent!!
    Thank you!!
I believe it has been paraphrased through history, ergo the slight difference in wording.

Any ideas regarding who really said it?

I may just stick to quoting Samuel Clemens, safer....
