    I agree with all...
I have done a caven dive in there with my double 50's. I looked down that bedding plane and thought...
"Hmmm...Me thinks I'll stay in the cavern"
(I used my 50's so I wouldn't have to cart so much from the parking lot)

And the cavern there is worth the dive anyway. I could have spent at least another hour in there. And when the sun came down the hole there ... WOWZA !!!

There is plenty to do there besides pop into da cave...At least for me there is. I just love that cavern.

P.S. Kelly , I couldn't agree more. There is NO WAY I would even CONSIDER doing it in ANY kind of a back-mount rig.

Oh Lord , keep us safe , ALWAYS safe , and keep ME PRUDENT , ALWAYS PRUDENT !!!

With all the security concerns recently at various systems, how safe would it be to use a cart to get all your gear to the spring and then walk the cart back to the car? I have back issues so hauling sm tanks that far would not be a wise move for me...

    Thanks!
    Martin.

I dove the cavern there last year, used a $15 Northern Tool hand truck that I left on the wooden dock while diving. I've heard of divers chaining their carts to the wood railing while diving...I'll probably do that next time.

I just leave the cart at the water. It would be quite a haul to leave the gear and bring it back to the truck. I can't remember if I used a bike lock or not... maybe one of the times I did.

ps - I this there is a no solo rule, so your gear wouldn't be alone if you did spend the time walking the cart back to the car.

I imagine most thieves to be too lazy to take the cart far or find much they could do with/to it on the end of a dead end path ending in a spring and surrounded by swampy woods.

Still I remember using a bicycle lock at least one time.

Know that would be an interesting site!
What do you mean it does not fit--bang, bang...

They are going to have to start making carbon-fiber covers for the scrubbers.

I agree with the fragility of the H-valve. You have to be careful but this is how everyone I know dives this cave.
That's on them. I personally won't dive it again until I learn to sidemount.
Well maybe just the Cavern. It really is beautiful and worth the walk.

I like my sidemount LP46's even better, plenty of gas to poke around and even easier to cart down to the water
I've only dove this cave twice, but I used the 46's both times.

It's bad luck to be superstitious.
