Peacock Springs 3D Mapping initiative by Bottomline Projects

Hello, Our Bottomline Projects USA Chapter will be attempting to create a 3D map of the peacock springs cave system using our Light Donut Scootering technique.

We have a permit to use scooters in the system from the Florida EPA.

Battery on the X5 camera we use can realistically collect data for 1 hour, I am coming to the forum because many of you know this system really well, much better than I at this point. I am looking to make a planned route that on a scooter would last an hour, and cover as much of the cave as we can with minimal overlap of the different sections. Right now my plan is to do the grand traverse from P1 to Orange Grove. If you can think of a better line and jumps and would be willing to share a route you would take I would very much appreciate the intel.

3. We developed a software called Cave Viewer, right now it runs on windows and MAC and allows normal computers to view the entirety of the map for science. The app is free, you can find all the information to download, install, and view these beautiful systems at the link below. (I made this application, my background is in computers)

4. If you don't want to use our viewer and you want to look at the map with something like blender or another 3d software you can download the map files here.
