Default Two Nomad LS sidemount rigs for sale.

I have two Dive Rite Nomad LS sidemount rigs for sale.

These are the second generation Nomad LS. They both have the optional bailout bladder for redundant buoyancy.

Bought new in October 2019 and have about 120 dives on them, all fresh water cave dives. A little wear, but clean and in perfect working order. The webbing has been cut but fits a guy with a 38 waist in a drysuit. The webbing is easily user replaceable if necessary. They have aftermarket butt clips, and one of them has 4 Sump UK offset clips on the shoulder straps. The little knobs on the rear dumps have been replaced with bigger ones. We last dove with these in May 2024. Plenty of lift to dive two Faber LP95's and a stage, in a wetsuit.

$785.00 each new. Looking for $400.00 each; buyer pays shipping.

PM me if you're interested and I'll send you pictures.

    Thanks, Mike

We switched to the Nomad Ray. We both liked the LS a lot, except that for 5'2" Tracy with steel tanks, she's quite overweighted and needs a lot of gas in the wing. Even more so in a wetsuit, and she has been diving more wet than dry lately. With the LS the gas made quite a hump, and she sometimes had to go quite head-up or head down to dump gas. Not an issue for a bigger person.

For me it was more a matter of trim. With the LS I'd trim out perfectly flat with LP95's or with any tank in a drysuit, but in a wetsuit and LP85's or Al80's I'd need a 2 or 4 pound trim weight to keep from being foot heavy.

I only have 10 dives in the Ray, but these are my impressions:

    - Streamlined - doesn't hump up much whan inflated
    - Trims out flat - the center of lift is in a good spot
    - Dumps gas easily in all positions
    - Comfortable
    - Easy to adjust
    - I like the harness on the LS better, but the Ray harness is fine. Adding a chest strap to mine made it more comfortable. Ideally I'd like a Ray wing with a LS harness setup.
