Alabama Cave Diving???

ok, i'll be in Anniston, Alabama for the next month.

someone please tell me there is a cave to dive somewhere near there.

are there any caves to dive in that area of Alabama/Georgia?

There are 2 different karst areas in AL. The one near FL has a few spots similar to FL, but they are sidemount. North AL is full of cave dives, but most "cave divers" are too wussy to dive them. I keep hearing complaints like:
It's too cold.
It isn't as clear as Ginny.
You have to walk too far.
No picnic tables....

Cold, definitely! Not gin clear, well you can't have everything. Too far of a walk, come on now my old hips and knees can make it. No picnic tables, they just get in the way anyhow 8) Looking forward to TAG

I spent 3 months there during MP school with the Corp. While there I got my first real exposure to the south, Talladega Speedway duing a race weekend. One of those pivotal moments in my life....
