    Default small tanks

A lot of divers like the faber lp50's. Does anyone remember the scubapro slim 60's? Or even the slim 72's? And what are your thoughts on them?

I use the LP 50's to practice Sidemount when I'm OW diving with divers in single 80's. Keep in practice for trim, reg handling, finning, air share sidemount style. Don't need the weight of double 95's or 105's when my partner is only using a single 80.

Do not go gentle into that good night.

Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

I have LP72's (2250) that I sometimes use when diving openwater, also turning them into my stage cylinders.

Why yes that was me in shorts and a t-shirt oops, a drysuit @ the 700' marker

I made that mistake almost 30 years ago. You don't want steel 72s as stage cylinders, just trust me on this. Using one as an O2 bottle? Maybe, but not something you'll try and carry around in a cave. Use an AL80 (preferably Luxfer or Impact Metals) or AL72 due to their superior buoyancy characteristics.

I found the old steel 72?s to be VERY butt buoyant.

30 years ago we were younger and could lug those heavy tanks thru the cave!

I was silly and sold all my aluminum cylinders except for ONE... so will be 72's until I pick up some more aluminum

You can find stages for $80-100. Do yourself a favor and listen to ken and just use that 72 as an oxygen bottle. Options: be cheap vs have an annoying dive or worse damage the cave.
72s do not make good stages
