Yes, this is serious. If you own one of these or use one to fill tanks, you need to pay very close attention to this issue.

More information - if you are using the repackable cannister that Alkin provides, their repacking schematic is also wrong!

I have updated the above thread on my forum to show the diagram - its backwards too! At least now we know where LF got the bad information!

There needs to be a recall issued on this data - and any filters that are in the field, along with any repacking kits that have been sold.

This is much worse than I thought - not only are the cartridges from LF wrong, but the instructions from Alkin are wrong too!
