Yep, same conditions last night, over 100 feet of viz. You could see the trees towering above the spring from 125-130 feet. There was a lot of particulate after the sheriff's dive team got finished with their training dive (there WERE like six of them or more), but otherwise it's perfect right now.
I will say, last Thursday there were NO bugs because it was 75 and super windy. Last night? Different story, probably 80ish air temps and still as far as wind... noseeums were atrocious like they usually are out there (to the point where I kept my hood on until we got away from the boardwalk entirely

We were there 11/9/23 from about 10:30-3. Several other teams present as well as some free divers. Luckily eveyone was very cool and friendly which isnt always the case now that its becoming popular due to the boardwalk
Vis was exceptional the entire dive. Minor particulate near the entrance just from so many people moving around. I found the silt layer by the stairs way less than normal. Its either due to so many people kicking it around the past few weeks or maybe a flood a while back cleared it out.
It was a great dive other than not having my cart and having to walk the doubles.

oof. I know I was jealous of the dive team guys having access with their side-by-side to bring down gear and land equipment (generators/lighting, etc for the staging area). Thought about trying to get one of them to drive me back to the parking lot to swap my tanks out so I could get back in the water faster in between dives lol

It was beautiful yesterday (22 April 2026). The only negative at the moment are the horse flies which are horrible!!!
