Go straight and it will be the second tram road on the right. There's a place to park about 100' before it on the right. This area is in a clearing right after you come out of a more wooded area. The walk takes about 10 minutes and the last 150 yards or so can be very interesting, depending on how much it has rained lately. Good luck!

i'm guessing with all the rain were getting this weekend i would stay away from buford. the trek through the swamp would not be nice this time of year.

From where you enter the wildlife refuge at U.S. 19, it's 5 miles straight ahead(don't turn left) before you get to a wooded area that the road goes through and you drove over 3 wooden bridges less than 100 yards apart. Once you pass that area, the first trail to your right will take you to Buford Sink. It's about a 250 - 300 yard walk(don't trip over the knobs sticking up out of the ground) to the end of the trail and the start of the swampy area. It's then about a 100 yard walk to the water. If you catch it during the dry season, the most you''ll get is dirty shoes. If you catch it during the rainy season, you can sink in mud up to your thighs if you're not careful where you walk. Take advantage of all the exposed tree roots to walk on that you can.
