No other information on this light. Who made it, what year?

Any marking on the lamp to indicate wattage or voltage?
What is the interior dimensions? At first glance, it looks about the size of the WW2 Navy Battle lamps.
They ran on two huge 1.5v carbon batteries.

Looks like a plexiglass equivalent to the Dive Rite "blue brick". Thanks for sharing

Bob Axlerod had a light similar to this in '74, but had a sealed beam torch. He had a motorcycle battery in it.

Sometime around the late 80's, Mark leonard made a rectangular light for me. It was made at his shop which was beside his house and was the first Dive Rite location. In those days, all of his lights were cylindrical and this particular light appeared to be the forerunner of the Aluminum Brick that Kelly mentioned.
The switch on your light is different from mine but other than that, the light looks the same, and that includes the lighthead itself with the glass dome and halogen bulb. I still have several of the lightheads but none of the housings.

That was the great thing about the old 12V halogen lights, you could change the wattage of the bulb to increase or decrease the burn times. I would bet the 6 volt worked the same.

I carried several different Ushio bulbs in my toolbox of different wattages. When we would go to Mexico I used the 35w, because it didn't reduce light output significantly, but increased burn times a bit.

Yeah I remember my first cannister light. The Ginnie Light !!! 100W halogen (made by DR if I am not mistaken) Steve Berman clued me in on how to get more burn time by dropping from the 100W bulb to a 75W or a 50W. I never tried the 35W.
