Not to necropost, but I'm looking for Buford conditions without making a 45-60 minute drive for next weekend, if anyone's been out lately.

We have had a ton of rain in this area. I have no idea what itd be like but if I was wanting to go I wouldnt risk the drive if nobody posts a report. Whenever I?ve been after this much rain its not clear. But obviously thats not a rule.

I?ll probably ask Kristi then. I figured the Nest basin would suck right now with the heat we?ve had (algae) as well - I just want to test out some new gear in open water.

We went a couple weeks ago. It was typical gross hudson. It was clear enough to dive, but has the typical particulate and haze. Good for a training dive or to work on skills. But otherwise the devil?s butthole.
We didnt go past 60ft. I absolutely hate hudson and it creeps me out so i refuse to go any deeper there. I?ll take 3000 ft back in a cave in a silt out over hudson any day.

I'm going to Hudson today, I'll let you know conditions. It won't be as nice as the Bahamas, I'm sure, but it'll work.

I clearly replied to the wrong post. I meant to ask about Buford. I spend enough time at Hudson to guess conditions there.
