Hopefully the liability doesnt fall back on the guy from sump uk. Hes a nice guy making some cool gear. Hes into simple chest mount rebreathers and makes alot of prototypes for himself. Dont know the english laws so hopefully it doesnt become another case like the skiles damily going after dive rite.

I think lawsuits like those you'll only find in the US.

Expert witness cave-diver Jason Mallinson said that the Sump UK-supplied rebreather had a straight fitting to the drysuit, whereas an elbow fitting with a 90-degree bend would have prevented it from unscrewing, if that was what had happened.

The article doesn't seem to flow right given the paragraph before it. Seems like there is missing information. Did something unscrew and loss of gas?
