So are there ANY reports on P1 to Olsen or Peanut line? I keep hearing about Orange Grove being clear but no real details on P1.

    Thanks in advance,

    Tim

The ones that I have seen are several days old, or I wouldn't be asking again... I don't know how quick the system clears.

The river is slowly coming down which is good. The caves don?t clear out that quick. I did not mean to come off so rude. Sorry.

Today, slightly tannic, cavern to start of peanut tunnel, then clear to 1200 feet. Entire olsen line was tannic...however visibility was 50+ feet and temp was probably 68 degrees...totally acceptable.

We did a trip from Orange Grove to the T at the peanut tunnel and back. No tannic water anywhere to that extent and water temperature was a constant 71F the whole dive. Visibility from Orange to Challenge was perfect but a bit less after Challenge, guess from upstream sinks. Was a long swim, but great. Nice crowd on our way back and in the parking lot when we got out. We were the first there and hardly anyone there when we entered.

I dove P1 (Olsen / Mainline) to Challenge yesterday (1-18-2021). It's mostly back to normal but it's a bit cloudy / tannic maybe the first 150-250ft but clears up after that. I was there later in the afternoon and we didn't get in the water until 230pm. We had the cave to ourselves but saw bunch of cars at Orange Grove.

I did venture over to peanut line on way out which is also pretty cloudy tannic for first 200ft or so but it clears up after that.

Everything else seemed to be back to ~50-60ft of visibility but my scale of "good" visibility may be slightly skewed when New England visibility is typical 10-15ft.
