Default Recommendations for Laser Engraver Please

Has anyone here used a laser engraver to mark line arrows? The moderators of the virtual line committee in Mexico are looking at getting hold of an engraver to mark permanent arrows as an engraved marking is likely to more legible and permanent than a sharpie.

Something like this looks pretty cool, but interested to know if anyone has tried to do this: Engraver

Details of ongoing line marking trial are here: https://creerlineas.com/2020/08/28/m...rial-aug-2020/

Thanks in advance for any help!

I know they haven't done any engraving on line arrow plastic, but flyersdirect.com out of Tempe, AZ has lasers and does cutting and engraving stuff. Not sure how interested they'd be as I know they're using it to laser cut masks and are pretty busy, but you could always give them a shout. They'd know better the practicalities of doing it.

Plastics tend to not engrave or cut very well with laser cutters. Some of them put off some fairly noxious gasses as well.

The line arrows in Little River had distances cut out in them with a laser cutter. (Note there is a difference between an engraver and a cutter.) They could also be done easily on a regular CNC with a spiral O flute down cutting bit.
