Yes the how to guide assumes we don't know how to use a computer. I'm a software developer and manage a team of software developers as well. The problem is not how to navigate the website it's that the website simply does not work.
Chrome development tools show http 403 errors upon submitting the renewal form. The login function does not work and tying the order to your account is impossible. Making an order and trying to setup a new account was tried and didn't work either. I also heard that dive outpost no longer processes memberships on site.
I don't think anyone is expecting instant replies or thinking it's done intentionally. I'm just pointing out that I also had issues and haven't had a reply and it's been weeks. Clearly many are having issues. I'm not one to continue nagging and my dive trip is over and therefore I won't be diving cow soon. As was mentioned, cow is a big driver of membership funds and the organization is losing funds due to things and processes not working. If people have better things to do, that's no problem people on here are just trying to make sure the ramifications are understood.

If the organization were hurting for funds, these problems would likely have been addressed and corrected.
The NSS-CDS is in no way hurting for funds at the moment.

I’m interested to hear if the cds is going to post what their plans to address these issues are. I’m waiting to give them my money but at this point refuse to pay for two separate memberships when I just want to renew my family membership and only because I’d like to dive Cow eventually. At this point emailing anyone there ends nowhere. My last few emails back and forth led to no answers before Adam disappeared and never answered some questions. Again I understand that the cds is a volunteer organization and people have lives, but when you sign up to be a volunteer you have to be able to do the work needed to address the members’ concerns. (That’s a blanket statement not a knock against Adam)
I’m hoping we get some sort of resolution to these issues. It’s becoming enough of a headache that even diving cow isn’t worth it. I asked all of these questions last year when I tried to renew and got no response. This year I got responses with no resolution and no follow up. Now seeing others are having similar issues I’m very frustrated.
