Default WTB - HP100-108 steel tanks

I want to switch from my AL80s to HP100-HP108 tanks - interested in buying or trading. I'm in Winter Park, FL but travel to Ocala and S. FL regularly.

My tanks are current on Vis/Hydro with yoke valves - looking for current hydro on any tanks purchased/traded.

Looking for two or four tanks.

Separately selling a BigBlue 15000 lumen light - would be willing to trade for x4 tanks.

Kyle Jones has 108's listed in this forum for a fair price. LP, not HP. Not sure I've run across HP108s before. Are you trying to stay with 7-1/4 diameter? I dive 108s, big tanks.

You mentioned HP 100's so just to clarify, are you looking for the old HP Genesis 100's ( 3500 PSI ) or the 3442 HP 100's? Huge difference yet both tanks are known as HP tanks.

I was diving LP120s in Cozumel over Spring Break and they were really comfortable (yes, huge, but felt fine in the water) but I was told that they don't fit into the racks of some boats here in FL.

I assumed HPs came in the same sizes but nope! I guess HP goes from 100 to 117?

I just want to get some more down time on those dives where I'm really active, wear less weight on my belt and keep my trim balanced, my camera is slightly buoyant so it helps to have some more weight from the tank.

Good point! Looking for the 3442 ones that don't technically require DIN valves Not planning on pushing my luck on fills though, would be happy staying in the 3300 range when filling.

Get a tank spec table and look for 7.25" diameter tanks. I've taken my 108s on a boat and you're right, 8" is not only a large tank but it doesn't fit the holders designed for 7.25 80s. You can also go with lp85s and overfill.

There is a set of double HP-100's. Worthington as I recall, at Wakulla Diving Center. They are doubled up with bands and manifold. Dive Rite branded valves as I recall. You can call and ask for Katie to get pics or a price. I think it was $375 or $400 (plus tax) for the pair and they put a fresh hydro on them before pickup.

    .
I have dove PST 104 from dive boats which are 8” diameter, but not as tall. I Had no issue with them fitting in the tank racks, but they were so top heavy, that there bungees were not strong enough to hold them up. It’s was a real pita. Rig a spare piece of fresh thick bungee and you will prolly be ok.
