You know, most of you are not old enough to remember polio. The Salk vaccine was not available in the US before the mid 50's, and as such, there were numerous students in our schools with active polio. We were told to socially distance ourselves from them, but they were in the classrooms, cafeterias, gyms. Then the government took away their freedom to infect others by mandating vaccines. The local health departments came into the schools and gave us vaccines for polio, TB, rubella. Most school districts today will not let your precious snowflake into school without vaccines.
Today, in parts of the world, polio is making a comeback, mainly because of all the bullsquirt that is being passed around about vaccines. Vaccination teams are being attacked and killed.
You do not have any implied freedom to damage the health of others. You are not free to beat people with a big stick, even the ones that need it. You are not free to go into a theater and start screaming fire. You have people that are HIV positive in jail for infecting others without their consent. You are not free to take your 2nd amendment toy and start blazing away in a subdivision.
The people going to these churches are no different than the spring break kids. If they would go to wherever and then go home, fine. But they don't. They travel around, go to stores, dig through the grapes, interact with you and me without our consent.
Now I would not ridicule anyone for their personal choice, except perhaps you guys with mullets. But, this isn't a personal choice. You are choosing to perhaps impact others that come behind you at the ATM, grocery store, gas station, liquor store. Or, if you get infected, by default, you are choosing to impact first responders, doctors, nurses, to use equipment when there are known shortages.
I live in a county with about 175k people, we have 44 reported cases. 2 deaths, so far. I would like to think we could keep the numbers that low, but we probably won't. But that doesn't mean that I get to go out and poke the virus monkey, and then spread it everywhere.
