Cave / Cavern diving in the early 70s

I used this topic to get your attention. I bet it worked. I 'm a x Navy diver. A couple of us use to came down from Charleston to dive in the springs. We never got to dive in anything where we could see more than a foot or two. So the springs were a breath of fresh air,so to speak. I remember the first time I dove in Jenny's. Before they sealed it off, And it was free. That's the way it was spelled back then. According to my "New World Productions" Diving and Recreational Guide to Florida Springs 1972-1973. Which I bought from Dale Stones Aqua Shack in Branford for $1.25. We camped in the back lot of his place every time we came down. They should have closed Jenny's off way before they did. It would have saved alot of lives. Just a small silt filled tunnel. The first time we dove Jenny my "buddy" and I were useing double hose regulators. I remember making fun of all the open water divers there doing there check out dives. They had so much crap hanging off them I don't how they swam back to the surface. If anyone is interested I tell you about the first time I went to Peacock Slough. The cops and an ambulance were there when we pulled up.

I have some photos dating back to the late '60s/early '70s of places like L. River, Troy, Osgood, etc. I'll scan those in and post them on the historical photo area.

I'm really going to have to ask that you folks stop referring to my lights as OLD or ANTIQUE I have moved up to HID at least. I'm really am almost finished with a NiMh case I swear Ah the life of a DIY'er
