I am very interested to hear if anyone has stayed here in Mayo.

You might also talk to Wayne Kinard. I've stayed at a full-featured house for $25/night but it was shared with others. That said, we've met many cool Cave divers while staying there.
Wayne has also had connections to rent a whole house in the area of Amigo's for not much more for 2 or more.
The most powerful minds are the ones that can be changed.
I've camped at River Rendezvous, if you want to sit by the fire and have a beer whe looking at the Suwanee River. I've also slept at the rest stop on I-75 for freebut nowadays I can at least afford the bunkhouse at Dive Outpost. Always meet cool people there...

The Surface Interval is a great place in Fort White - nice 3-bedroom house just for cave divers: https://www.cavecountryrentals.com/
Great screened in back porch with places to dry, charge, spread out and work on gear. Can be rented by contacting Wayne Kinard at Amigos, or feel free to PM me.
The Surface Interval is a fantastic place to stay. It?s just up the road from Amigos, about 10 minutes from Little River, and about five from Jug. It?s amazingly peaceful, and perfectly organised for cave divers, from the covered porch at the back of the house for staging and loading dive gear, to the washer and dryer for freshening undergarments. Best of all, the house is spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated - it actually feels like a home away from home, as opposed to a trailer where you chuck your gear for a few days of diving before shoving off again. We used to stay at the Surface Interval during dive trips before it changed hands a few years ago, and when we relocated to Florida before our move to Mexico, we actually rented it for almost a year. It?s a very special place, and if you stay there, I guarantee you will not want to leave.
