I feel a lot better about my ginnie pass after skiiing in Sun Valley, Idaho today. Daily lift pass at Baldy Mountain is $190. Annual pass for an adult is $2500. Lifts open at 8am and close at 4pm. Don't try skiing in July, you are likely to be dissapointed.

Just noticed the new rule "No solo diving". Interesting. Maybe coincidence but the past Saturday being at Ginnie I have noticed only a few cave divers. I recall times when it was packed by wet-n-dark lovers all winter. But I don't dive Ginnie too often so perhaps I picked a wrong/right time.

The no solo diving rule has been on their list of rules for many years -- they do not enforce this rule for full cave divers.

Yes. As has been said, it does not pertain to full cave divers and has been in the rules forever.

I just check the "dive rules" on Ginnie's website it now says "No solo diving, buddy system is required" I could be wrong, but if I remember correctly, in the past the dive rules did exempt full cave divers from the no solo rule.
Since Rose has left seems more and more rules to restrict cave divers.

This rule has not changed. Full cave remains same as it always has. Beth is doing a great job. Call her, she'll clear up any misunderstanding.

I think the only thing that actually has changed is price (had to happen eventually) and cost to Instructors teaching specialty, which I believe was implemented to weed out freeloaders.

Very top of Ginnie Dive Rule page, "Dive Rules - Ginnie Springs Outdoors does not allow solo diving, all divers must have a dive buddy. The only exception to this rule is if you are a Certified Full Cave Diver."

Wow. Adding the park as an “additional insured” basically signs over half your insurance coverage to them. Any insurance they use will eat up your coverage as you reach the limit. So instructors now need to double their coverage or live with half of what they had before.

They give rules printed on your entry pass. I dont know what is online but ad far as i remember printed version did not mention exclusive solo. The list of rules however was so long that i started to have tears trying to read it and while i did not finish i still forgot the beginning of it.
