Default Little River closed due to graffiti

Sheriff closed the park today to keep kids from seeing some graffiti

Only closed with red tape, because the caretaker has the lock and wasn?t answering the phone, but it might be locked later...

Sad because it was most likely a local redneck and not a diver.

Default Little River closed due to Trump quote graffiti

Not to be nitpicky or be pro or con trump but if you look at adam?s photos the majority of it is stupid childish expletives. Does the thread title really need to read that it was closed due to trump quotes. I?m bombarded with enough political bs everywhere else. Could?ve just said closed to vandalism. Reminds me of how media outlets word titles of articles to get a response.

Moderator's Note: You are correct these threads are apolitical. The original post was edited, along with the title. More likely what got the spring closed was the racial references, which don't have a home here either. Going forward discussion about the vandalization and closure is appropriate, but crossing political and racial lines will cause this thread to be closed and deleted

it has been shared all over social media so hopefully this will lead to someone saying something and brining these clowns to justice. Likely young locals that think they are cool so will brag about it then get caught

So it's Sunday night... but I would have thought an intrepid group of divers could have cleaned this up with at most 2 hours and some paint remover... at least the truly obnoxious graffiti... I'm sure it had to be documented by the police but how long would that have taken?

That's OK, on reviewing Adam's photos, looks like I read it wrong anyways, says f*** not grab... It was pouring all morning and I was rushing back to the car, misread it. Phrase stuck out to me, the rest was jumbled or single words, but that one made me think "hey, haven't I heard that before?" Made me chuckle, no political intent intended either way.

I was surprised at how few people were out getting early dives at peacock and lr this weekend, I know the weather was bad but it still seemed slow.

I didn't have anything in the car I could use to even begin to clean the paint off, but I agree with Tim, elbow grease will get a lot off. A pressure washer might be a nice tool too. Hope it gets removed and the park opens quickly, and that they find the people who did it. I do not believe they found the paint can in the trash.

The graffiti is even more extensive than I noticed in my rush to stay dry, and it was senseless, on every surface, up the retaining wall just a line of paint, very sad that someone would do that.

I wasn't thinking about the stone work... yeah a pressure cleaner might be necessary. And I don't think anyone would have expected you to have graffiti removal cleaner with you Though I would hope if the graffiti was still there by next week maybe NFSA might step up and show up in force... I know its not technically one of their springs but really the more arm power thrown at this the quicker it could be cleaned up.... I'd be there if I were anywhere near N Florida.

What does 386 mean? Is this something every American would know? I just see that one picture.

386 is the area code for that area. For some reason idiots that like to tag stuff now like to show where they?re from by painting their area code. It?s the equivalent of writing ?Miami rules? except in this case I guess it means Suwanee county rules.
