Default Jackson Blue - Work outside

Here are some pics of the recent work they are doing at BLUE SPRINGS park.
So far the entrance to JB is still good. On deco we heard the rumbling of the equipment, but in-side is still good, and hopefully it stays that way.

Kinda scary thinking they are doing all that just above the cavern zone. All those boulders in the cavern came from the ceiling at some point. And there’s a crack in the ceiling that looks like just waiting for a reason to collapse.

Yikes! I wonder if any consideration were taken in regards to potential cave damage as a result?

Good reason to have concern. JB is geologically active, if anybody remembers the big rock that fell near the entrance. About 15 years ago something big fell in JB about 2500ft back. I remember being in zero viz, on the line having to swim out because my scooter was useless. I remember deco in the cavern and only seeing a faint glow of light.

With all that dirt moving around, I'm thinking some archaeological stuff will show up. Points, sherds and the like.

More likely pull tabs, broken Pabst bottles and other fossils from the obscene period.
