Default Cristina Zenato and Brian Kakuk reported OK in the Bahamas

Cristina checked in via Paige Colwell (Jill Heinerth reported) and Brian contacted Edd Sorenson. Both were all right as of noon today. I do not have other details.

First video in from Marsh Harbor. Does not look like very many trees are still standing. Cars flipped over, power lines on ground. Many cement buildings still standing, but wood frame buildings leveled. Salvation Army reports 13,000 homes destroyed. US Coast Guard working with Bahamian authorities to airlift sick and injured off Abaco Island.

For those interested in helping out, a GoFundMe has been started for Brian Kakuk in Abaco, who is OK (and so is Otis The Blue Hole Dog) but lost a lot and needs help. If you don't know Brian, he explores, conserves, instructs, and leads dives in some of the most amazing caves in the world...see for example this video of the The Crystal Caves of Abaco.

There is also a link for Cristina Zenato but I don't have it handy.

You can also paypal them directly and skip the gofundme processing fees.

This is a link to the Man-O-War Cay facebook group. Man-O-War is about 4 or 5 miles from Marsh Harbor. Some good info on damages.

The PayPal processing fee is the same as that of GoFundMe, i.e. 2.9% + $0.30/transaction. The only way around this is to use PayPal's "friends and family" option, which may not be available to you.

If you're giving someone money, why wouldn't you use the friends and family option?
