    Default My favorites

Old steel 72 are my favorite tanks for O2 especially those rated at 2250psi. This allows me to get all the O2 i need for those long decos after a trimix dive, this without the need to haskel the O2 to higher pressures since it often comes in 2400psi banks....

One more question, Brian I'm sorry I hijacked your thread. The old 72's some of them had some type of plastic lining(inside walls). Does this make a difference if you want to use them for oxygen ? Basically is it 02 safe/clean ?

Anbody seen a line arrow around here ?

Lined tanks are no longer considered acceptable at all since it is impossible to see the tank walls.

Depending on lining, it can be removed and the tanks put back in service. And they can be O2 cleaned. But lining must be removed.
